SCALING SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS
Our Scaling Sustainable Solutions initiative accelerates the adoption of innovative sustainability solutions across the built environment. While the sector produces exciting new products, methods, and business models, many stall at the pilot stage – caught in the “Valley of Death” due to regulatory uncertainty, risk aversion, or lack of visibility.
We help innovations thrive by providing networks, credibility, and practical pathways, ensuring they move from concept to widespread impact.

REGENERATIVE PLACES
Decarbonising the built environment is essential to tackling climate change—but the biggest impact comes when we take a holistic, ‘net positive’ approach that benefits health, communities, and ecosystems. Retrofitting 19 million poorly rated homes and addressing the housing crisis offer a unique opportunity to deliver wider regenerative benefits, yet current practice often falls short of holistic, resilient outcomes.
The Regenerative Places programme brings together multiple stakeholders to co-develop a framework that embeds regenerative principles into place-based development.
This year the programme will focus on:
- Co-creating a Regenerative Vision – Work with members and local partners to define a positive, regenerative future, illustrated with real-world examples.
- Regenerative Places Framework – Develop a practical framework that shows how principles, processes, and mindsets can scale regenerative outcomes to restore, renew, and revitalise people, places, and ecosystems.
- Collaborative, systems-led approach – Creating a Task Groups (a core member benefit) and interactive workshops that will help to shape the work, encourage collaboration with peers, and sharing of early insights.
