Do you remember being a child and the joy you felt in finding a worm in the soil or a woodlouse under a rotting log? How amazing it was to watch these little creatures go about their business.

For UKGBC Macarena Cardenas, those experiences were formative, and lead her to the work she does now on nature and biodiversity in the built environment. She’s never lost that childhood wonder at the natural world, and in this video, she’ll inspire you see nature as something to be honoured and cherished.

Watch this video to hear more about the impacts the build environment has on nature around the world, and to hear about the solutions and action we can all take.
