Re-imagining: Sustainable Finance

About the Event
Despite a keen desire to adopt sustainable practices, project finance remains a key barrier. Financial viability is at the heart of every project, yet it is determined before the project begins, at the investment stage. By the time sustainability conversations happen at the project stage, it is often too late. When the stakes are so high, accepting this continual constraint is no longer an option.
UKGBC’s ‘Finance and Value’ programme kicks off with an engaging, playful event bringing together institutional finance and real estate stakeholders to think through what needs to / what can change at prospecting and vision-setting stages.
Come along to this event to draw upon our joint imaginations and wisdom to puzzle out a solution, using envisioning, storytelling and jigsaw pieces! If the barriers are genuinely systemic, can we picture a route to a new system? If they are not, then what are we missing? This event is about turning a genuine desire for sustainability into effective action and leading the way…..
This is a uniquely curated event for professionals in finance, banking, economics, politics, pensions, business, investment, asset management, sustainability, accounting, real estate stakeholders (those who most understand how the economy and finance system work) to imagine how we can achieve a sustainable future. We’d also welcome financial reporters and academics in such fields.
