Problem Addressed

Refrigeration and air conditioning alone are estimated to be responsible for 10% of global CO2 emissions according to a report by the University of Birmingham and the Birmingham Energy Institute. In addition, according to Verv, AC units can often cost building owners twice as much as they should be.

Solution Overview

Verv offers an industry standard isolator for large equipment including heat pumps and air conditioners. This device collects energy data from this building equipment and uses AI to help manage and minimise energy consumption and carbon emissions. Diagnostic features can find faults with equipment and identify signs of fatigue to reduce maintenance and overall business costs. This provides more opportunities to repair an existing heat pump or AC unit and extend its lifespan, saving embodied carbon and reducing waste.

Verv provides detailed power and energy information helping people and businesses to manage their energy usage. Load monitoring continues 24/7, and Verv also provides remote power on/off and weather-controlled functionality. Data can be viewed through a web dashboard and a user app since their isolators are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. Data is also available via an API for use with BMS optimisation platforms.

Case Study

The Smart AI Isolator from Verv was installed within a building managed by Mitsubishi Electric in the UK, and it showed 32% energy savings.
