The Role
We are seeking a Sustainability Co-ordinator to join our technical and policy team.
This role is ideal for an individual at either early career, or a career change, stage, seeking to rapidly grow their skills and extend their network. The wide ranging, supportive position offers the opportunity to enhance skills in a range of areas, including project management, stakeholder engagement, and multi-disciplinary research. The successful candidate will support the delivery of UKGBC’s technical and policy work, while developing their own broad insight and knowledge through working with a dynamic and diverse team of colleagues, and also with businesses across the entire built environment value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of UKGBC technical and policy guidance and outputs via desktop research, analysis, and content drafting etc.
- Support key stakeholder management and engagement with relevant professional institutions, industry bodies, and UKGBC members and other groups via email, online, and in-person
- Input into and support UKGBC’s Solutions and Innovations work
- Basic graphic / visual design to ensure clear and engaging content creation, including creating learning materials, slide decks for presentations and events, website content etc.
- Responding to queries and maintaining information packs / slide decks / FAQ documents and guidance
- Assist in running meetings, roundtables, workshops, and other UKGBC activities and events
- Engage in regular organisational wide meetings related to the UKGBC culture and operations and / or other projects and workstreams
- Take accountability for your own contribution towards your personal and professional development; including regular 1-1s, objective setting, performance and development conversations; and soliciting and providing feedback, including for those outside your core work area and upward for managers.
