UKGBC Members’ Advisory Group Seeks New Representatives

The UK Green Building Council is seeking applications from individuals interested in joining its Members’ Advisory Group.
The Members’ Advisory Group is made up of representatives from 15-20 member organisations. It exists to provide strategic advice, support and feedback to the UKGBC Senior Management Team on:
- Strategy, key priorities and business plan
- Programmatic activity including policy work, learning and development, and industry research
- Events, marketing and communications
- Membership recruitment and retention, and wider stakeholder relations
The Members’ Advisory Group is chaired by a UKGBC member representative, who sets the agenda in close consultation with the UKGBC’s Senior Management Team. UKGBC prepares papers for discussion, and performs more of a listening role during the meetings. There are two scheduled full meetings a year as well as other ad hoc focus group meetings in between, as required, to discuss particular topics.
Positions in this group belong to an individual rather than an organisation, although the size and sector of the organisation will be taken into account in the selection process, to ensure representation from as broad a sample of members as possible.
The selection process will be driven by the Members Advisory Group itself who will put their final recommendations to UKGBC’s Chief Executive.
Individuals interested in applying for a position on the Members Advisory Group should send an email to Jenny Buckland before Tuesday 1 November 2016, including in brief:
- Current name, job title, organisation
- Brief outline of career and experience to date (max 100 words)
- Brief explanation of why you would like to join the Members’ Committee, specifying your areas of expertise and how you think you could help the UKGBC in this role (300 words maximum)
