We are in unparalleled times, with the omnipresent impact of Covid-19 causing high levels of uncertainty and concern for people all around the world – including our members and ourselves. Above all else, the health, safety and wellbeing of UKGBC colleagues, members, partners and friends is our main priority.

As all of us transition to new ways of working, we stand alongside our members, ready to adapt with a wide range of accessible, digital opportunities to collaborate, learn and support each other. The team is rapidly reviewing our programme of activities for 2020-21 to ensure that we maintain momentum to progress our mission to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment. Given the online learning capabilities we have developed over a number of years, our plans are coming together with great confidence and we look forward to updating you with further details.

We are maximising use of our digital channels to ensure that our activities can continue whilst following the social distancing advice issued by government. We are in the process of redesigning our events and courses to implement on digital platforms. In recent weeks, we have ramped-up development of our L&D virtual portfolio to help support members during this time.

The UKGBC team is working remotely and our office on Store Street, London will be closed until further notice. Our team is fully equipped with hardware and cloud-based solutions to enable them to convene and collaborate with our members on platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and GoToMeeting.

Covid-19 is an immediate crisis that requires all our attention, but we cannot afford to exit one crisis and ignore another. This is the decade of climate action and UKGBC will work with members to ensure that lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic can be applied to mitigate the climate and ecological crisis.

Please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the team or for general enquiries, by emailing info@ukgbc.org if we can support you in any way.
