Energy efficiency policy and costs

The Paris Agreement and the imposition of tougher energy efficiency standards and carbon reduction targets, including the MEES Regulations effective from April 2018, will be of significant impact to the real estate industry.

UKGBC member Currie & Brown has conducted an update to the IPF research on energy efficiency improvements. To maintain consistency and clarity, the same case studies were analysed as in 2012, in accordance with current building regulations and, for each, the project assessed the value of a broad range of energy efficiency measures to upgrade the energy performance of base line buildings, including new strategies that reflect current market standards. To supplement these core tasks, the research was extended to wider commercial considerations, system‐specific recommendations, predicted actual energy savings and planning for the future.

Who should attend

Owner-occupiers, real estate investors, fund managers, asset managers, property managers, engineers, cost consultants and anyone with an interest in the energy efficiency of commercial buildings.

Why attend

Gain an overview of the current energy and buildings policy and hear directly from the authors of the IPF research on energy efficiency improvements.  Interactive polls, questions to the speakers and the chat box will let you have your say on the implications for the industry.

Join the discussion with the UKGBC network as to how the industry can use this information to improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings.
