UKGBC’s Leaders Network will be convening for a morning discussion on climate optimism.

Our guest speaker, Nigel Stansfield, President of Interface EMEA, joined the company in 1985, and has been instrumental in raising the bar on Interface’s climate and sustainability goals over the years. In 2001, he moved into research and development and eventually ascended to become the company’s Chief Innovation Officer before taking on his current role. Having been in Interface’s senior leadership team for over 15 years, Nigel has a unique insight into the commercial rationale for Interface’s leadership aspirations on environmental sustainability.

Having recently launched the next generation of its ambitious sustainability goals, Interface’s new mission is Climate Take Back – which the firm wishes share with the whole world. Nigel will be giving us a tour of the company’s journey to date, as well as his own personal insights into the next steps and a few nuggets of wisdom on his own leadership journey.

He will aim to illustrate how “companies across all sectors can pool resources and expertise to find innovative solutions to the issues of efficiency and carbon emissions that pose challenges to us all”. And, as always, there will be ample time to network with senior colleagues from across the built environment over breakfast.
