Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs
DEFRA and UKGBC members policy workshop

With DEFRA policy advisers and senior civil servants in attendance, this will be a wide-ranging roundtable event, focusing on the Department’s policy developments in the areas of:
- Nature and biodiversity
- Resource efficiency and circular economy
UKGBC members will have the opportunity to discuss the Department’s current and upcoming policy priorities and to put forward examples of leadership and innovation in these areas. DEFRA know that they will need the active co-operation of the construction and property sector as they start to flesh out the ambitions set out in their 25 Year Environment Plan. These ambitions include – but are not limited to – plans to legislate for net biodiversity gain and to develop firm proposals for increasing resource efficiency.
