Advancing Net Zero: next steps in holistic carbon reductions

Update: The ‘Advancing Net Zero: next steps in holistic carbon reductions’ event has now taken place. It was part of our Advancing Net Zero programme, which you can read more about here.
With an overall goal to be net zero carbon shortly after 2050, the built environment is currently at a tipping point. Despite having more consistency in measurement and assessment, a variety of processes and tools available to measure, case studies from which to learn, and increasing knowledge around embedding whole life carbon thinking into projects and organisations, the issue of net zero carbon can still be unclear. This event will discuss why it is still not a mainstream issue and where are we going wrong.
Sign up to this UKGBC event to:
- Understand how the Paris Agreement affects carbon ambitions in your projects and your organisation
- Learn about the latest industry developments and guidance to help you understand carbon assessment and decision making
- Learn best practice from industry leaders on whole life carbon management at project and organisational level
- Debate, discuss and decide how the industry progresses on carbon reduction.
The event is aimed at professionals from built environment organisations across the whole supply chain who are at intermediate stages in understanding and implementing carbon decision making, having preferably undertaken at least one project with carbon reductions objectives or assessment.
Speakers include:
- Jannik Giesekam, CIEMAP, University of Leeds
- Scarlett Benson, Carbon Credentials
- Francesco Pomponi, Edinburgh Napier University
