Challenges associated with climate change and resource use are currently high on the agenda for both businesses and policy makers. We recognise the need to innovate and collaborate to address the major challenges we face. This is why we recently launched our Innovation Portal, designed to provide an open forum to crowdsource solutions to some of the industry’s biggest challenges.

We’re looking for the products, services, business models and big ideas that have the potential to address four major challenge areas as identified by our members.

In addressing these challenges, we’re aware that some of the best ideas haven’t been developed yet – we’re excited to launch our first Sustainable Innovation Sprint, designed to support the search for solutions to our industry challenges, on Friday 30 November at the Urban Innovation Centre.

Following a loose hackathon format, attendees will have the opportunity to form teams and cross pollinate ideas in search of a unique solution to one of the four challenges.

Who should attend

We believe that diversity is key to a successful solution, so no matter your background or interest area, come along, be part of the solution.

Anyone with an interest in innovation and transformational change: sustainability professionals, designers, product manufacturers innovators, clients, owners/occupiers, students, graduates are all welcome

Why attend

During this special 12 hour event, you will have an opportunity to form connections, be inspired by expert speakers, challenge your preconceptions, and develop a unique solution that could be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.

This work forms part of our Innovation Programme.
