Innovation Forum: Financing Innovation

About this event
Building on UKGBC’s Innovative Start-Up Forum, we’re inviting innovators along with solution adopters and topic experts to reconvene to discuss targeted issues in scaling sustainable solutions. On 2nd December at 11am we’ll dig into the topic of how we can finance innovation and help solutions scale.
In this session focussed on finance, we will be discussing different approaches to financing innovation, whether that be public, private or blended finance. We’ll discuss a range of topics, for example how to build investor confidence, different funding mechanisms and business models to accelerate adoption, and how long-term value and sustainability co-benefits can be factored into decision making.
We will also be holding the following future Innovation Forums on:
- Risk, insurance and responsibility – January (date TBC)
Why attend?
How the Forum will work
This session will last for 1.5 hours and involve interactive discussions designed to spark collaboration and drive action. As this is a Forum we encourage everyone that attends to actively participate and contribute to the conversation.
These sessions are designed to go beyond talk – they’re about finding tangible enablers and steps to take to overcome barriers to scaling innovation which we will then take forward as part of the Scaling Initiative.
